Draft. This document is a draft and needs review before a public launch.
This page explains what information Lakbo stores and how it's used. We aim to collect only what's needed to run virtual challenges.
What we store
- Account: your email address, a display name, and sign-in details handled by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Google or Lovable, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) from that service.
- Activities: for each saved activity — the route/track points (latitude, longitude and, where available, timestamps), distance, duration, start/end times, source (live GPS or GPX), the GPX file name, submission time and review status.
- Challenges: which challenges you joined and your completion review status.
How routes are handled
- Location is used only while you actively track in the foreground. Lakbo does not track you in the background.
- Routes are private by default. Only you and challenge organizers (for verification) can view them. They are not shown publicly or to other participants.
- GPX files are read on your device; only the parsed track and statistics are uploaded, not the original file.
- Unsaved or in-progress sessions are kept in your browser's local storage on your device until you save or discard them.
Maps
Maps are displayed using OpenStreetMap tiles. When a map loads, your browser requests map images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address and the map area being viewed, under OpenStreetMap's own policies.
How we use data
To operate your account, calculate challenge progress, let organizers verify activities and confirm finishers, and to provide support. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can delete pending activities yourself. To request access to or deletion of your account and data, contact support@dashcraftco.com.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change.
